Bookworm- I'll check out your blog asap!

Maria- If you want your non art lover to do something artsy I would try to find a project with the same theme as his most recent obsession. So if he's into bugs start there and so on,you'll have a better chance at him wanting to do a craft and when he likes it he'll open up to new things. That said sometimes kids just don't like it, and that's ok too!

Ellen- thank you so much! I was sick of seeing crafts that have 4000 materials and require a graduate degree in fine art in parenting type magazines, and show parents that little guys can do this stuff you just have to break it down.

Teri - I recycle what I can ( googley eyes get ripped off and put back in the closet) , and the rest gets gobbled by the recycling truck every 2nd week. I have pictures of everything I can't possibly keep it all. I keep the things that were made with hand prints usually though. We do keep anything my son is actively playing with too.

Very cute! I do have a question, though - what do you do with all of his projects? You certainly can't have room to save them ALL, right? Do you keep them for so long and then...???

I haven't commented before but have been following your blog for a few weeks now. I LOVE your blog! As a former teacher myself, I often want my preschooler to do extravagent, involved crafts but rarely have the time to personally invest in them. You have helped me to see that crafts can be simple and fun with what's laying around the house. My little guy really enjoys them and the fact that he can do a craft everyday. I really like the picture "tutorial" of each craft too - I'm such a visual person that directions without pictures get lost on me. Thank you for blogging!!
