It's a pattern book, so each 4-page spread has a variation of the same sentences. The story is about a mischievous cat named Cookie, who makes a giant mess each day. The biggest crowd-pleaser, of course, is "On Monday, Cookie fell in the toilet. Water was everywhere!" I used to read it to my first graders at the beginning of the year, and then they could practice reading it themselves.
