Summer Reading Challenge
Did you see that people are recognizing all our hard work ? Our Summer Reading Challenge was featured on the blogging news site ShePosts.com last week . As you may know we have already passed our 25,000 book goal ( presently at 26058) but our challenge isn’t over yet. You have until tomorrow at 8pm PST to enter your tally of books read and get entered for a chance to win a $50 Amazon.com gift card.

We are on track to meet our goal but we need your help to make sure it happens! This summer our goal was to read 25000 books with our kids and so far we have read 23839. Only 1161 books to go- we can read that and then some in a week but it only counts if we tally it up so don’t forget!
Now if you just stumbled upon this you aren’t too late – you have until August 26th to join in the fun . This post explains how to join our summer reading challenge . Our goal is to remember to read with our kids and encourage our kids to read during the busy summer months. Because I am so thankful for all the support and participation I am also giving away a $50 Amazon.com gift card to one participant so someone can celebrate reading even more with new books.

We only have 3011 books to go to reach our goal of 25 thousand books read by No Time For Flash Cards readers this summer. I am in awe. You guys rock and just think of all the fantastic stories and quiet time together you have had with your kids while reading this summer. I can’t thank you all enough for joining in!

It’s not too late ! Did other summer reading programs pass you by? No Time For Flash Cards ‘ Summer Reading Challenge is so simple and you can join at any point. Can you read with your kids? Can you fill out a form online once a week? Then you can do it.
If the simplicity doesn’t grab you maybe the fact that if children who are struggling readers read as few as 6 books over the summer they can avoid regression (from Scholastic). Or perhaps you want to help us reach our 25, 000 books read goal or maybe the incentive of being entered to win a $50 Amazon.com gift card is the clincher.
