Marnie – he was almost 2 when we did it , but if you are concerned about drying what if you use cut out pieces of sand paper?

Nancy- a saint, not quite but I tend to have a lot of patience for little ones, it’s big people I have a hard time with! I really just let my son lead, sometimes I get impatient and “help” him and it backfires. I have learned that it’s better to let them have the experience of the art than to make sure the craft looks “right” .

I love checking your blog everyday to see what you have done next. I have been trying to do more crafts with my son to help teach him various things. We have done several of your crafts already and I have really enjoyed it and he loves them. You look so organized and must have the patience of a saint. Do you have any advice on how to get organized and how to have patience when our kids are so young? My son’s excitement sometimes gets in our way of enjoying the project and tests my patience.
