This is the number for the National Postpartum Depression Hotline , please pass it along to anyone in need 1-800-PPD-MOMS .
A reader Katherine also added this comment which I thought should be included :
1-800-944-4PPD This is the phone number for Postpartum Support International, the largest nonprofit in the world supporting women with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. The people who answer this number can connect women to resources in every state in the US. Plus, they have Spanish speakers as well.
Thanks Katherine!

Thank you so much for posting this. I was shocked when I found myself diagnosed with Post-Adoption Depression after our daughter came home last year. It happens, too, and knowing there are places to go to get help (as well as others in your situation) always helps.

Thank you for this. I am going to blog about PPD on my blog as well. I know about it, but I’ve never been treated for it. It was never severe, but it was moderate and doctor’s say it should’ve had medical attention. Anyways, I want to thank you for posting it and letting other women become aware of it. I want to follow suit. 🙂 God bless you!
