When my kids were little, we had a tape with several of his stories on it, and he sang the “Clang, clang, rattle bing bang, gonna make my noise all day.” So when I read it to kids in my classes, we all sing that too. I’ve had mothers complain that after we’ve read it in class, their children are singing it instead of settling down for bed!

The way he is able to showcase and appreciate the world through the eyes of children is remarkable. I have yet to come across a book by him I have not fallen in love with.
