Can the 7 year old read? I would have each choose one picture book and have the 7 year old help you read to them, then read chapter books with the 7 year old.

When he was 8 or 9 months old he would light up and smile if he just heard me say “If you were my bunny and I were your mama…” even in the middle of crying. And now, as a toddler, the only songs he wants me to sing to him at night are the lullabies from that book – any other lullaby gets an emphatic “no” when I start to sing it. ; )

We read Tiger Can’t Sleep last night, and the boys love it. It’s a funny story about a noisy tiger hidin in the boys closet. Tiger can’t sleep and neither can the boy!
