You are right they are normal. Shawna was not trying to imply that they aren’t, just that all children should feel like their families are included and just as valid as any.

Children raised in homes with parents who are gay/bi-sexual/transgender/in interracial relationships/ect don’t need this book to ‘feel “normal” ‘ because they are normal. They do not have a disease , they were not born with abnormalities , they are children , just like every other child and the issue is people who still refuse to believe a stigma still exsists
