My son’s favorite book has been The Gruffalo, for a while. So I bought The Gruffalo’s Child for him, which he likes too, but the Gruffalo is his favorite. followed closely by the Dinosaur books 🙂

We always loved “Sailor Moo” and then when my daughter got older we read and re-read all the Harry Potter books – They are great read alouds!

My daughter, who’ll be 5 in April, loves “Horton Hatches the Egg” & she has since the first time I read it to her at about 2yrs old (if not a little younger). We came across the collection by Lynley Dodd, and she loves “Harry McClary & Zachary Quack”, (It’s actually my 2nd favorite book to read w/ her, Horton’s my fav) “No More Monkeys Jumping On The Bed” & “10 Little Ladybugs” are a few more that we read regularly.

What a great list! So many of our favorites are on it too like Moo Baa La La La! and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! I personally love The Paperbag Princess! What a great message for girls!!!

Thanks for listing!! I am always looking for new books to pick up at the library. My girls love the Eric Carle books. We, well I, have been reading them chapter books at night but I will have to bring back some good old picture books.
