I am so happy my experience with this struggle helped. The gun obsession I think has finally calmed ( after 3 years) and he’s moved on to dance and soda ( mostly because we said he can’t have it). It always feels never ending when they are in the thick of it though!

My 4 year old is Batman crazed, out of nowhere and I’m really struggling with the concept of exposing him to the violence, aggression, weapons, etc… When I found your list and descriptions of the books it was exactly what I needed to feel a little better about starting this journey with him. Our 3-year-old son loves to read all three books, and our 1-year-old enjoys the touch and feel pages. All three are in constant rotation, thanks for the idea!
