I tend to forget song lyrics for circle time and end up practicing them the whole way to and from school. I love singing WITH my students but I would much rather listen to my running playlist in my car than circle time songs. This year I have decided to make myself some printable lyric sheets of the songs I always mess up to keep myself on track and I figured y’all might like them too. This snowman song is one of my favorites, I don’t know why I blank on the lyrics from time to time. An added bonus ist hat while posting and using these lyrics in your classroom the ideas that print is related to words we say and sing gets reinforced.
I have NO idea where I first heard this song that goes to the tune of I’m A Little Teapot. I’ve been signing it and messing up its lyrics for decades, but now that I have this printable it’s set in stone, ’til I lose the printable anyway.

This is cute and I have never heard this. I can see why the lyrics are hard to remember. The last line is very hard to fit into the tune. I changed it to “But then the sun melts me away” and that flows a lot better.

So cute! I was amazed how many of the lyrics to Frosty the Snowman my son’s preschool class was able to learn for their holiday program.

Cute! I’m the same when it comes to lyrics, so I tend to print out the songs on cards and laminate them for everyone’s benefit. I drew a broom in the snowman’s hand to go with the song. 🙂
