We made this with heart stickers for Valentine’s Day. But you could make it with ANY shape stickers the feature to really look for is that one is big and one is smaller. What I love about this simple letter match activity is that it’s quick to make. And it can be adapted to different children’s needs and abilities. It was simple for my daughter. But she still liked it and peeling those sticker backings off is a wonderful work out for her fine motor skills.

Gather your materials, you will need a sheet of card stock, some heart (or other shape stickers) in large and small sizes, and a marker.
Start by writing upper and lowercase letters on the stickers.
Stick the upper case stickers on the card stock.
Place the lowercase letters in a bowl and invite your letter detective over.
In a classroom, this would be a great MURAL. Instead of a sheet of cardstock use a roll of paper and attach it to the wall with painter’s tape. Add the uppercase and place the lowercase letters in a basket. It would be a fun free choice activity.
Look at all that fine motor work (ignore the dirty nails).

Love this idea! We’re working on letter recognition with my preschooler, and of course he’s a huge fan of stickers so this is perfect.

Stickers are amazing – I completely under valued them as a new teacher 🙂
