Snowman Activities for Preschool

The vast majority of time in my Prek classroom is spent in free choice, and these preschool activities about snowmen are the types of learning experiences we offer students during this time.

Snowman STEM – which will melt first? This is simple, you just need two water bottles filled with water and frozen. Pop one in warm water, and leave the other out.

Snowman Preschool Art Projects

I love art projects especially ones children can choose to do or not do at free choice. That said, there is a lot of benefit to having children do some whole group activities where they are working on fine motor skills with scissors, writing or drawing utensils, and following explicit instructions. Just don’t let these narrow projects take the place of art and creativity in your classroom.

Melted Snowman Craft – I don’t have a post for this popular winter craft for preschoolers. It’s so easy. Just make the shaving cream puffy paint from this post and add googly eyes and foam snowman parts. Toddlers and preschoolers just adore this snowman craft.
