5 Little Frogs Fingerplay & Free Printable

If you aren’t familiar with what a fingerplay is it is a song or chant with actions, usually more of a chant that doesn’t need to follow a specific tune. This 5 little frogs fingerplay has no tune (at least in all the years I have done it I haven’t used one… feel free to correct me!), but it is still a huge hit year after year.

I have included a free printable because if you are like me, you forget words and having the printable not only adds some print to your room in a meaningful way it is a scaffold for you too!

Here is the 5 little frogs fingerplay with actions, you can do it seated or standing up:

5 Little frogs sitting on a well,  (Have five fingers on one hand out)

1 looked in and down he fell. (Hold one finger up, then point him down to the ground and fall)

Frogs jumped high! (Hold both hands up over head)

Frogs jumped low! (Hold both hands down to the ground)

Frogs jumped everywhere, to and fro! (Move arms all around)

You can continue with 4, 3, 2, 1 frogs if you if want or just do one verse.
