Get Curious with Curious George!

Do you love Curious George? My favorite Curious George book is the one where he goes to the hospital to get a puzzle piece out of his belly. What’s yours?

Make a Curiosity Chalkboard to collect thoughts and things to investigate with your kids. #ad #CuriousGeorgeonHulu

Before I show you how to make this super cool curiosity chalkboard that lets your children focus on their curiosity let me share some exciting news about Curious George.

This board was an instant hit with my kids, and what I love about it is that it gets them thinking, writing, and wondering too! This board lets my kids be each other’s teacher, lets me get them wondering about something new, and of course gives them both the opportunity to write or draw some pictures. If you have a little Curious George fan in your home you can always use this board to write down what George was curious about in the episode you watched and what it made you curious about. Here is how we made this curiosity chalkboard.

Gather your materials. I used an old canvas I had laying around, some chalkboard paint, stencil film and a cutting tool, ribbon, and bright blue paint.

Next, I was onto printing out the title question. You can print it out here. curious george curious blackboard

Then I cut my stencil.

When the chalkboard paint dried, I placed my stencil on the board and grabbed the blue paint. Since I was using spray paint I had to do a little touch up with small brushes too. curious board tutorial

After that was dry I added ribbon and hung the board up. It wasn’t long before I had curious kids ready to write. curious george curious board

And draw! curious board for curious kids

I have our next two google searches ready!
