Easter is on its way and while I do not think Easter is by any means only about candy, I like this preschool fingerplay because it can work in Christian or secular preschools. The actions for this finger play are very simple. Show the number using your hand. Then when it’s time to eat, pretend to pop a jelly bean in your mouth. You can cut construction paper jelly beans out and hold the colors up with each verse if you want, but it’s fun without that.
I like making printables because I am terrible with lyrics. And nothing kills the momentum of a great circle time like a teacher who forgets the lyrics. I pop these up on my class wall and to avoid messing up circle time. These are also fun to send home with parents so that they can join in the fun at home.
