One of the most frustrating things for kids is when things won’t stay put! Adding velcro to these inexpensive foam blocks helps them stay put without breaking your bank.
Gather your materials. You will need some velcro dots, a hot glue gun, and some cheap foam blocks. I got mine at the dollar store!
Add one hook and one loop dot on two opposite sides of each block with the hot glue. Let dry a few minutes.
While they are drying print and cut out the pattern cards. Laminate if you wish. Click on the images to print.
Younger children can match up colors
While more capable children follow the pattern cards or make their own patterns.Â

I would like to know which dollar store; Family Dollar, Dollar General The Dollar Tree or another. I looked at all three for your project with shave cream but I had to purchase a set for $15 at Walmart and they weren’t as small.

What a great idea will look for those blocks again for this to do with my children. When I had them sometime back (getting from the Dollar Tree)I used them for my children to learn and identify on how to spell their name.

Hello and thank you for this great preschool math activity for free! I keep getting an error when trying to click on the first image of patterns. It says invalid address. Can you please help me with this? Thanks!
