I get emails often asking for ideas based on materials so today I compiled some of our crafts that use clothespins. I will bet that most of you have clothespins hidden in a drawer or the back of the closet, but even if you don’t, they’re easy to find and inexpensive. Check your local dollar store or big box retailer and find a pack for just a dollar or two. They’re a great way to stretch your crafting budget, for sure! These fun and easy clothespin crafts are just some ideas you can do to use this material.
Our favorite is the Clothespin Dinosaur Craft above but over the years we have used clothespins for a whole bunch of learning. From color concepts to counting and even fine motor skills, clothespins are a very useful and versatile tool that so many of us take for granted. These activities are great for in preschool classrooms or even when teaching young children at home.
Do you have any clothespin crafts in your arsenal? Be sure to share them with us on Facebook! We’d love to see what you’re up to with your kiddos!

Funny you should post this today as one of these projects was exactly what I came to look for additional instructions on. I didn’t have to dig to find it! Thanks so much for sharing such great information!

We made the dinosaur today but used a green glittery foam sheet for the body since my daughter likes sparkles. What a fun activity! thanks.
