I am the author/publisher of the multi-award winning Starabella narrated picture books with music. Starabella is a family collaboration. I wrote the stories based on the childhood experiences and music of my daughter Tara. Tara is a pianist and composer who deals with autism. For this series she wrote 17 of the 22 songs and instrumentals and she performs them on keyboard. Her sister Dana, a talented singer, narrates the stories and sings the songs. My husband Marvin and I published the series. The audio and visual presentation appeals to a variety of learning styles.
The Starabella books encourage social sensitivity for all children. They feature the heroine, Starabella – a courageous little girl with learning differences who expresses her feelings and reflections of the world around her through music, in her HOME, COMMUNITY and SCHOOL.
