While I don’t usually talk too much about toothbrushes and mouthwash here in No Time For Flash Cards what I do talk a lot about is teaching. One of the ways to teach your children healthy habits is to make it fun. When Firefly asked me to write a sponsored post using these products to help promote healthy habits in the new year, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Create a challenge for 30 days with a chart to track their progress and help cement these healthy habits into their lives.
Dental disease is super common with kids, in fact, half all of kids, have some degree to dental disease including decayed teeth, fillings, or missing teeth ( and not the cute kind of missing!) that is why together with Firefly I want to promote healthy habits. Before we get to the challenge and how to set one up at your home I have to say that before Firefly approached me, my kids were already using their super fun toothbrushes, who says that building healthy habits can’t be fun!
Gather your materials. You will need our healthy habits chart ( print here or by clicking on the image), some old school star stickers ( two fit in one square perfectly), and some fun NEW toothbrushes.
The reason I say new and fun toothbrushes is because if you are going to make a splash with this challenge you gotta go big, but don’t worry these aren’t expensive, just fun.
Pop the chart up on your mirror and get ready!
Every time your child finishes their tooth brushing routine add a star! You can decide on a great prize for completing the challenge or make the new healthy habits the prize. Do what works for your family!
Firefly is running a pretty rad Star Wars Rebel Smiles sweepstakes right now on their Facebook <– check it out!
