I love circle time lessons but the key to making circle time a success is to keep it short and engaging. A wonderful opening like this good morning song is a must followed by a daily ritual like this chant or calendar, then it’s time for a story and activity. Below you will find some of my favorite books to read at circle time with wonderfully engaging activities that help teach basic concepts in developmentally appropriate ways. Remember one of the hallmarks of developmentally appropriate practice is to use lessons and methods that fit your students’ interests.
