Giving children books as gifts is one of my favorite things to do but for some kids, it’s less than exciting, and that defeats the purpose. I am trying to highlight how amazing books and reading are but instead, it can look like work, or frustration, or just sorta boring for some kids. Something I have been doing (and if you know me in real life you know I LOVE themed anything), is to combine that book with something to cuddle, something to connect with from the book to entice reading or just deepen that connection to the book and hopefully books in general. If you want to see one example of how to play with some of these toys, then check out our Brown Bear, Brown Bear color matching game!Â
I have put together this list in hopes that it helps you give books as gifts, therefore spreading the love of reading far and wide.
