Every year Brown Bear, Brown Bear is one of my students’ favorite books. I get a different group of 2 and 3 year olds every year but without fail this book is a favorite. Many of my students come to me familiar with this book and finding it in their classroom and being read at circle time is a great bridge between school and home. I make different materials to go with the book throughout the year, and I just made some three-piece puzzles for my class today and thought I’d offer them as a free download for you. I didn’t print all the animals out, that would have been way too much for my group. Instead, I chose a few of the animals, printed and laminated. The kids had a fantastic time and loved the variety of animals.
If you need to make these puzzles more challenging, you can always make more pieces by cutting the three pieces into 5, 6, or more. Three is perfect for my kiddos right now, but as they grow I will add more. Every child in a classroom may not need the same level. It is a good idea to print a few copies and cut in different numbers.
You will get nine colorful animal images in this download each large enough for 3-year-olds to manipulate and put together. If you want more Brown Bear inspired activities check this one out. There are lots of different activities that tie in this popular book that kids just adore!
Here is the download for you <— just click here!
