Is your school closed because of Coronavirus? Are your kids now learning at home during coronavirus school closures?
Yeah, mine too. The COVID-19 pandemic is disrupting many areas of life, but as parents and teachers supporting parents, we can do a lot to keep things as normal and calm for our students and children as possible. I have gathered a long list of activities that you can do at home during the Coronavirus outbreak during school closures that don’t require too many classroom supplies. Parents can print things out and play. These are not work-sheets they are hands-on activities with STEP by STEP instructions to help parents feel like they can do this, because they can!
Additionally, I am offering my Spring thematic unit bundle for FREE. Click here and use coupon code 100 for 100% off. Teachers can feel free to download and share, replicate, etc… with their students. Please do not replicate for sale, that’s some seriously bad karma.
Also, if you need guidance about how to talk to your child about COVID-19 this article from Seattle Children’s Hospital is excellent.
Learning Areas
This post is not meant to be a substitution for school work; it is a resource. As your teachers may ask you to work on specific skills, I have tried to organize this list to match up with some of those skills like “sight words,” “rhyming,” or “shapes.” Each activity has an age range next to it. This is just a general range. I a not adding in too many photos because this is a long list, and I want you to get the info you need, without too much fuss. Oh, and everything listed is FREE.

I am a preschool teacher in Jamaica. We have just been ordered to close all schools for 14 days. I was trying to figure what activities to send out for parents to do to keep their 2 and 3 year olds busy.
I am so impressed by your article and will pull out activities to share with the parents. I am so happy for the break also to be able to go through and plan ahead stuff I would like to do.
I love how you have organized the content of this article.
Keep up the good work and please stay healthy!

This is an awesome list! I myself keep trying to think up new ways to teach my daughter. But one can only do so much. I am going to try out a few of your printable activities too. My daughter loves dinosaurs, so might as well try that one 🙂
